The Old Parsonage at Winkleigh in North Devon, is a stunning five bedroom, character holiday home. The dog-friendly house, which can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests, is located in the heart of the village and surrounded by stunning gardens. The thatched property oozes period charm with its wood beams, and is the perfect getaway for large groups or families.
Set at the end of its own private driveway and benefiting from high walled gardens the house has lots of privacy, as well as its own private entry to the church that lies behind it.
Please note that a part of the main house is used by the owners and other guests may be onsite within the other cottages. Parking in the main area to the front of The Old Parsonage is shared as are the main gardens.
The renovated kitchen has modern slate flooring and is a good size for rustling up large family meals. Within the kitchen, appliances include a free standing fridge/freezer, an electric oven with hob, an AGA, a coffee machine, a dishwasher and a microwave.
Alongside the kitchen, The Old Parsonage has a handy utility room, which is equipped with an additional fridge/freezer, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. There is also a handy ground floor cloakroom with wash basin and WC.
The dining room at The Old Parsonage is packed full of character with lots of wood beams and a decorative fireplace. The main dining room table comfortably seats up to 10, whilst a separate table with bench seating can seat a further six guests if required. Double doors open out from the dining room onto the garden.
The stunning, character living room has ample seating for all the family with large leather sofas and armchairs. There is also a smart TV and DVD player, as well as an ornate log burner.
This beautiful dual aspect master bedroom overlooks the front garden and features a king size bed, a decorative fireplace, a dressing table and plenty of storage space. All of the bedrooms are situated on the first floor.
Behind the master bedroom at the rear of the house, next to the first family bathroom, is the kids bedroom, fitted with full size bunk beds and chest of drawers.
The first of two family bathrooms situated on the first floor of the house is fitted with a walk in shower, a wash basin, a heated towel rail and a WC.
Also overlooking the front garden is the third bedroom, which is the smallest double. The bedroom has a large window and a wardrobe.
Bedroom 4 at The Old Parsonage is a large double with a superking-size bed, a large window capturing views of the garden, a decorative fireplace and a cupboard.
The final bedroom is a lovely double with a standard size double bed, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe and a decorative fireplace.
At the other end of the hallway to the first bathroom you'll find the second family bathroom. Complete with a bath with a hand-held shower attachment, a WC and a wash basin.
The Old Parsonage is surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens with plenty of space for kids to play games, dogs to have a run around or just to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Devon countryside.
